A training workshop on Ensuring data quality and Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) was conducted for resident field investigators of SAT India from 28 November – 3 December 2011. It included on- the-job experience of CAPI in Shirapur and Kalman villages of Maharashtra from 1-3 December.

The main objective of the workshop was the piloting of advanced technologies to enable data collection, entry and validation, all at a single point of time to enhance data quality and accuracy.

Eighteen investigators were divided into three groups with at least one Marathi-speaking person. Each group was given one CAPI instrument and assigned one data entry operator to assist them in data input in the modules.
